Can't Join a Game

Why Can't I Join a Game?

There are a few reasons you might not be able to enter the queue or join a speed dating lobby. Let's walk through the most common causes and how to fix them.

1. Games Might Be Closed Right Now

Crowdr speed dating games run on a set schedule -- they're not available 24/7. Check the Home screen for:

  • The game schedule showing upcoming game times.
  • A countdown timer showing when the next game starts.

If no game is currently active, you'll need to wait for the next scheduled session.

Tip: Premium users with the "Date Anytime" feature can join games outside of scheduled hours.

2. Check Your Internet Connection

A stable internet connection is required to join the queue and participate in live video-free speed dating. Try:

  • Switching between WiFi and cellular data.
  • Opening Safari to confirm your connection is working.

3. Make Sure Your Profile Is Complete

You need to finish all onboarding steps before you can join a game. If any part of your profile is incomplete (photos, bio, interests, etc.), you may be blocked from entering the queue.

Go to your Profile tab and check for any incomplete sections or prompts to finish setup.

4. Force Close and Reopen the App

If you see an error message when trying to join, a quick app restart often fixes it:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to open the app switcher.
  2. Swipe up on Crowdr to close it.
  3. Reopen the app and try joining again.

5. Temporary Cooldown

If you left a previous game early (disconnected or closed the app during a session), there may be a brief cooldown period before you can join again. This is to ensure a fair experience for all players.

6. Account Under Review

In rare cases, your account may be temporarily restricted due to a moderation review. If this has happened, check your email for any notices from our team.
