Each round of a Crowdr speed dating game gives you 40 seconds of live text chat with one person. It goes fast -- but that's part of the fun. Here's everything you need to know about making those seconds count.

The Chat Screen

When a round begins, you'll see:

• A countdown timer at the top of the screen showing how much time is left.
• Your partner's name and profile photo so you know who you're talking to.
• A text input field at the bottom for sending messages.
• Quick prompts -- tap to insert a conversation starter if you need one.
• A profile button to view your partner's full profile (bio, photos, interests) without leaving the chat.

Quick Prompts

Not sure how to start? Crowdr provides quick prompts -- fun, thoughtful conversation starters you can tap to send instantly. They're designed to spark a real conversation without feeling forced. Examples include things like:

• "What's the best trip you've ever taken?"
• "What's something you're passionate about that most people wouldn't guess?"
• "If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?"

You can use a prompt as-is or let it inspire your own opener.

Viewing Your Partner's Profile

During the chat, tap the profile icon to see your partner's full profile -- their photos, bio, age, and interests. This is a great way to find common ground quickly. Spotted a shared interest? Bring it up in the chat!

When Time Runs Out

At the end of 40 seconds, the chat ends automatically. You don't need to do anything -- the app transitions you to the voting screen for that round. Don't worry if you were mid-sentence; the energy of a fast conversation is part of what makes speed dating exciting.

Tips for Great Conversations

Here are some ways to make the most of your 40 seconds:

• Ask open-ended questions -- "What do you love about your job?" beats "Do you like your job?" every time.
• Be genuine -- people can tell when you're being real, even over text. Authenticity is attractive.
• Don't stress about the timer -- 40 seconds feels short, but it's enough to make a genuine impression. Quality over quantity.
• React to what they say -- show that you're actually reading their messages. A thoughtful follow-up question goes further than a rehearsed intro.
• Use humor -- a well-timed joke or playful comment can make you memorable.
• Lean on prompts -- there's no shame in using a quick prompt. They're there to help, and they often lead to the best conversations.
• Keep it light -- first impressions are about energy and vibe. Save the deep life discussions for after you connect.

What Not to Do

• Don't spam messages -- rapid-fire one-word messages can feel overwhelming.
• Don't ask for contact info -- if you connect, you'll have unlimited time to chat in the Messages tab.
• Don't be inappropriate -- Crowdr has community guidelines. Disrespectful behavior can result in reports and account action.

After the Chat

Once the timer hits zero, you'll move to the voting screen where you have 10 seconds to decide: YES or NO. Then it's on to the next round with a new partner!
